Āwhina ako

Place holder

(*Currently on hold for term two) Āwhina Ako is a Te Hou Ora service that involves an exchange of learning and teaching. Āwhina Ako provides a support system and a place of learning for rangatahi who have been excluded from schools due to behavioural issues. By delivering holistic learning experiences shaped by Kaupapa me ngā tikanga Māori, we work with rangatahi and whānau to repair relationships. The goal of the programme is to prepare tauira to enter into their next educational environment with confidence in their ability to learn and the resilience to work through challenges. Āwhina Ako provides a multi-systemic approach and system of support where rangatahi are understood as part of a whānau system within which the responsibility for their wellbeing and individual development is shared.
