May we think about the hindsight, the insight, the foresight and the vision May the things we do not affect our mokopuna May we walk in the way of the warrior, the healer, the visionary and the teacher.
This karakia is a call to mindfulness, responsibility, and legacy. It reminds us to act with reflection, purpose, and vision — guided by the strength of the warrior, the compassion of the healer, the foresight of the visionary, and the wisdom of the teacher — so that our actions today uphold the wellbeing of future generations. It is appropriate to use this karakia to cleanse a space for new mahi and to close a heavy kaupapa. It enables us to think beyond ourselves and work towards the future we dream of for our mokopuna.
