It speaks to resilience, spiritual clarity, and collective focus, and is often used to open gatherings, learning spaces, or wānanga with intention and unity. It honours our ancestors and acknowledges their presence and guidance they give us. It would not be appropriate to use this karakia as a performance piece or in a commercial context. The wairua of this karakia is uplifting and unifying.
