Mauri Mahi, Mauri Ora

Mauri Mahi, Mauri Ora is a new initiative that commenced mid 2023, designed by Te Hou Ora (THO). It aims to meet the needs of rangatahi aged 15–24yrs. This programme focuses on reducing long-term unemployment among rangatahi and involves broad external collaboration and integration across THO services. Rangatahi are supported by kaimahi from social work, counselling, education, whānau work, navigation, and youth work. They develop the hard and soft skills needed for long-term employment and career growth. With a korowai of wraparound support, this kaupapa helps rangatahi become resilient, independent, and successful in all areas of life.
