Whakaparirau Ngā Taiohi | Youth justice is a service provided by Te Hou Ora (THO) that works in collaboration with Oranga Tamariki to support rangatahi involved with the youth court system. Kaimahi build trusting relationships with rangatahi by sharing fun new experiences to motivate them through their responsibilities e.g. paperwork, counselling. Within Whakaparirau Ngā Taiohi we have four programmes:

  • Mentoring
  • Supervision with activity
  • Youth development program
  • Supported bail.

These programs vary in length and levels of support to ensure the needs of rangatahi are met. Through these programmes we are able to provide rangatahi with guidance and support to meet their goals and prevent reoffending.
